Craft Bazaar

Well the Craft Bazaar on Ramstein went really well for me. I sold a good deal of stuff on the table and lots of people took cards because they were interested in more legwarmers! Here's some pics of the table setup (nothing fancy, but I was happy with it) These pics were before I finished more blocks and dolls..it was great I took my machine and got to sit there and sew!!

So the weather has been cold and rainy and it's making me want to sit inside and drink hot cocoa :) I went out to Landstuhl today and met some wonderful ladies; they were putting together holiday decor for the Thanksgiving meal and I got to use stamps to decorate hats!!! FUN, especially since Olivia was really good while I stamped away. I made some new dollies (thanks for the order Ute, hope they love them) and have plans to start on a few more items that I want to list before xmas but we'll see how it goes....

Still Unpacking...

Okay, it has been a week and while in some places it is starting to look like home, I go into another room and it is still chaos! lol I feel so isolated without our high speed internet connection setup yet (ha ha) I have to ponder whether each place I go to online is worth waiting for the page to load....yes, very oldskool. Otherwise all is well. Weather has been rainy but we are having so much fun spending time with friends. I found Olivia a very sweet German nanny to care for her a few hours a week while I unpack or do errands out in the rain/cold. Her name is Silke and she is absolutely wonderful. We are lucky to know her. I have lots of pics of the house but can't download them with the connection we are currently using. They will be posted soon, don't worry. Right now I am glad to see my sewing machines out with the fabric, just can't seem to find the embroidery attachment. Darn those movers.... well, off to open more boxes and see what I come across, wish me luck :)

Welcome!!

Hi, just wanted to say Welcome to anyone new checking out the site. I know it is not much yet, but soon I will link my etsy store here so you can check out my merchandise. I also welcome any suggestions for items you guys might want to see me sell. Right now I have some Halloween bows, Tooth Fairy Pillows and Baby Tag Type Blocks/Blankies on sell on our military website for the base area. We are also trying to get a group of ladies together that like to sell their crafts so we can just meet up and also go to places on base to display our items together in hopes it will bring in more customers if we have variety. I will be doing a drawing at the end of next month for a free surprise item from among my blog followers, so I am trying to get the word out to all potential customers. No pics to add today, I spent all morning trying to locate fake bugs for Matthew's zombie costume with no luck. Maybe tomorrow I will have a better turnout...I can't believe it is so last minute, I am always so ahead of the game with Halloween, especially since we do a party almost each year. I will forgive myself since it just couldn't be done with all our stuff in storage awaiting the move. :) It will be so nice to be in our own place, though, that's for sure. Well, time to go check email and work on the etsy store.

Reliving the Past...

So time to post pics of previous designs. These 3 are custom outfits that sold on ebay last year. I had a lot of fun doing them, but it was so much work! Now that we have Olivia, I am trying to focus on projects that are just as fun, but not as intricate to put together. Of course, I will still be sewing outfits like these for the girls, (I can't help myself!) but just not for listing anymore.

Let's Hope this Works....

Okay, so I am finally sitting down to get serious about my little sewing/crafting business. Step 1 is to create this blog and keep it updated. I am hoping to post items here that I have made and keep links of other great sites I have found along the way. It's a work in progress that is for sure, but I am learning slowly and thanks to my husband and son (who are computer geeks, but I love them, ha ha) I think I will do okay. Wish me luck!!!
